Torchia is melodic death metal band from Tampere, Finland, and they got their current form in the late 2016 when drummer Ville Virtanen joined the band. The group headed almost straight away to record their first album. One demo and EP had already showed what Torchia's music was about. The debut album ?Of Curses and Grief? was recorded in 2017 with the legendary producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Ensiferum, Sentenced, Amorphis) with the idea of organic, raw and timeless sound. The album was released on October 27th2017. Finland's biggest metal media/magazine Inferno picked the album as 7thbest Finnish album of the year 2017 alongside with many praising reviews around the world. At the moment Torhia is working on their second full-length album.
